Yvon Quirion, 77 of Southington, entered into the gates of heaven on October 18, 2021 at home with his loving wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Soucy) Quirion for 33 years.
Yvon was born on November 9, 1943 in Quebec, Canada son of the late Patrick and Emilienne (Tanguay) Quirion. He was a carpenter by trade and retired after many years of dedicated and hard labor. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the French Club. Yvon enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races. In addition, he enjoyed watching wrestling and had a love for dancing, as he had very savvy moves. Yvon was a lover of animals and had a special place in his heart for his cats, Blackie, who acted as his body guard, and Tiger. Above all, he enjoyed spending quality time visiting with his family and friends. He was a very much loved and respected man by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, Lorraine, Yvon is survived by his sister, Denise Quirion and his brother, Jacques Quirion, both of Canada, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members throughout the U.S. and Canada. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jean-Yves Quirion; his step-father, Raoul Carrier; his step-son, Kenny Parker; his sisters, Annette, Claudette, Nicole, and Celine Quirion; and his brother-in-law’s, Claude Soucy and Elie Dulac.
Yvon’s family would like to thank Atrinity Home Health, especially the nurses and aides and the Hartford Healthcare Hospice Team for their expertise in keeping Yvon comfortable and providing great care.
