Welliena (Voisine) Saucier

After a long life of love and kindness, Welliena “Willie” Saucier passed away at the age of 99 on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.  She is now with our Lord and reunited with her loving husband, Adrien, who predeceased her in 1983.

Born in Fort Kent, Maine to Honore and Sophie (Theriault) Voisine, she was the last surviving of their seven children.  She leaves her only child, Rowena Simard and her husband Bert; her grandchildren, Greg and his wife, Annie; Doug, Mike and his fiancé Dolores, and Missy; her great-grandchildren, Justin, Sarah, Kate and Serena; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Welliena was the Mom, Grandmother, Aunt and friend that God intended for her to be; and a butterfly to catch.  She enjoyed baking, sewing, BINGO, cards, and visits to the casino.  We are all blessed with a season of life and her season was everlasting as she left us with many cherished memories to beautiful to ever forget.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebration on Monday at 10:00 a.m., meeting directly at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St, Plainville.  Burial will be held at a later date in the spring.  A walk through visitation will be held on Sunday, from 2-4 p.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville.  Guests are asked to attend in accordance with CDC guidelines, wear face coverings and practice social distancing.  For online expressions of sympathy or to share a memory of Willie with her family, please visit her tribute page at www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
