Virginia S. (Dyboski) Lennon, 87 of Plainville, was reunited with her beloved husband of 62 years, Peter T. Lennon, Jr. when she peacefully departed on May 5, 2024.
Born on January 15, 1937, she was one of two children to the late Stephen and Stefaina (Formeister) Dyboski. A graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Virginia’s nursing career spanned over four decades, all while raising her six children. Virginia's passion for art was a centerpiece of her life - a lifelong talented artist, she realized her dream of sharing her love for art by opening Mouse Works Ceramic Studio in downtown Plainville during retirement. Through her studio, she imparted her passion by teaching ceramics and various art forms at the local senior center, impacting the lives of many.
She fulfilled her love for the beach creating many happy memories of annual trips with her family to Clinton Beach, and later in life, exploring the Caribbean with Peter. They delighted in attending Navy reunions across the United States, creating enduring friendships and connections with fellow veterans. Known for her no-nonsense personality, Virginia was not one to shy away from expressing her opinion, leaving her family and friends endless stories and laughter.
She is survived by her children, Stephanie Roth (Thomas), Jennifer Wenzel (John), Peter Lennon, III (Marie), Katherine Lennon, Christopher Lennon (Alison) and Timothy Lennon (Sandra); ten grandchildren, Heather Pierce, Megan Sledge, Jennifer Naramore, Veronika Roth, Peter Lennon, IV., Kaitlin Lennon, Hannah Lennon, Emily Lennon, Alexandra Lennon, and Hunter Lennon; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
