With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Tyler John Spotts, cherished son, brother, and uncle, 41, of Pinewood, South Carolina, formerly of Plainville, Connecticut, who passed on August 16, 2025.
Tyler was born on November 15, 1983 in New Britain, CT son to Angela C. Dube and the late Thomas E. Spotts, Jr. Raised in Plainville, Tyler and was a proud graduate of Plainville High School, Class of 2002. Tyler built a career in Home Energy Efficiency, where he was dedicated to helping others create more sustainable and energy-conscious homes.
Tyler lived life with a sense of adventure and passion. He loved riding motorcycles with family and friends, snowboarding and skiing alongside his father, and spending time outdoors fishing, boating, and enjoying cruises. His sense of humor and warm heart touched all who knew him.
Tyler was always willing to lend a helping hand. Though he preferred to keep to himself, once you got him talking about something he was passionate about, it was hard to get him to stop. His quiet nature hid a deep well of enthusiasm and knowledge, and those lucky enough to see that side of him knew how special it was.
Tyler had a deep love for animals and was predeceased by his beloved dog, Chance, and his cherished cat, Taz. He was also predeceased by his father and best friend, Thomas E. Spotts, Jr.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Angela C. Dube, of Hermitage, MO; his brothers, Travis Spotts, of Holden, MO, Michael Dube, of Eldridge, MO, and Ryan Boulier, of Hermitage, MO; his nieces and nephews, Easton Spotts, Emberly Spotts, Carter Dube, and Maverick Boulier; his step-mother, Deborah Spotts, of Plainville; and several extended family members and friends.
