Thomas Glen Dahlstrom Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Glen Dahlstrom, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud veteran and esteemed electrical engineer.

Glen, as he was known to many, was born on January 17, 1971, in Phoenix, Arizona, one of four children to Carol (Barron) Davis of Arizona and the late Thomas James Dahlstrom.  Glen was a graduate of Tempe High School and went on to obtain his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology. He travelled extensively during his career, and had endless stories to share with his family and friends of his many adventures.  He most recently worked at Vertiv in Wallingford, where his expertise shone brightly in the engineering industry.

Glen cherished his time serving his country in the Army, enlisting in 1989, and earning the rank of Specialist during his service in the War in Afghanistan before being honorably discharged in 1996. His dedication to his family was unmatched - married to his beloved wife Jennifer for 23 years, together they raised two children whom he loved and cared for deeply.  Passionate about sports, Glen was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and shared his love of NASCAR through his prized collection of model cars. Known for his quick wit, sarcasm, and encyclopedic knowledge of random facts, Glen’s infectious sense of humor brought infinite joy and laughter to those around him.  He will be missed dearly, living on in the memories shared during family adventures, most especially their trips to Disney, his dedication to his work, his time in service, and the love he bestowed upon his family and friends.

In addition to his mom, he leaves his wife and best friend, Jennifer (Dignazio)Dahlstrom and their children Nikolas and Kaitlyn; his brother, James Dahlstom and his wife Sharon of Australia; his sister Cherry Ferrell and her husband Alex of Phoenix, AZ; his in-laws, Eileen Dignazio and Thomas Dignazio and his wife Nancy; his sisters-in-law Joyanne Wargo and her husband Stephen, Kristen Dignazio-Drost and her wife Alicia Dignazio-Drost and their families; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.  In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Daniel.

Glen’s family extends their gratitude to Dr. Brian Byrne and his staff at the Cancer Center in Plainville for their kindness over the past 4 years, and to Ellen and Jesse from Masonicare for the exceptional care shown to Glen.

Those who wish may honor Glen’s memory with contributions to an educational fund established for his children at the following link: In Memory of Thomas Glen Dahlstrom
