Shirley Johnson Obituary

Shirley Ann (Jepsen) Johnson passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, July 24, 2026. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Edward D. Johnson, Jr., who predeceased her in 2000.

Born on September 26, 1944, Shirley was a daughter of the late Louis and Margaret (Andersen) Jepsen. She was a woman of quiet strength, and a kind heart that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Shirley dedicated her entire professional career to the legal field, where her integrity, diligence, and commitment earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues throughout the years. Following a distinguished career, she retired in 2007.

Outside of work, Shirley found joy in life's simple pleasures. A lifelong animal lover, she had a special place in her heart for pets and all creatures great and small. She was an avid bowler for many years, enjoyed countless games of BINGO with family and friends, and loved trying her luck on the slot machines during trips to the casinos. Above all else, however, Shirley treasured the time she spent with her family. Her greatest happiness came from watching her grandsons grow and celebrating the milestones and memories they shared together.

She leaves behind her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Edward and Kimberly Johnson of Farmington; her cherished grandsons, Dylan Edward Johnson and Colin Matthew Johnson; her brothers, Ernie Jepsen and his wife Jan and Norman Jepsen; her sisters, Peggy Sanders and her husband Rick and Karen Olenick and her husband Mark; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.  In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was predeceased by her brother, Richard Jepsen.

Shirley will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steadfast love for her family, and the warmth she brought to those around her.
