Shawn Barrett Kenniston, 62, of Plainville, lost his twelve year battle with kidney disease on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Born on February 10, 1959, he was one of five children to Patricia (O’Neil) Kenniston of Plainville, and the late Frederick Kenniston. A lifelong Plainville resident, Shawn was one of the “cool kids” in the graduating class of 1978, where he played football and excelled at running track. His passion for sports, especially football, remained throughout his life, as he cheered on the home teams of wherever he resided including the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints. Shawn was a lover of the outdoors, making landscaping his chosen profession during his working years, and was a movie enthusiast with an extensive collection of films that spans decades. A free spirited and personable man, he is now free of pain and at peace.
In addition to his mother, Patricia, he leaves his siblings, Michael Kenniston, Felicia Kenniston, Stacie (David) Tessman, and Colin Kenniston; his nieces and nephews, Dillon Kenniston, Chancy Huey, Bry Huey, Annalicia Sessa, Shane Huey, and Alexandria, James, and Steven Tessman.
