Sandra J. (Carlina) Carver

Sandra J. (Carlina) Carver, 80, of Plainville, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the Hospital of Central CT New Britain General Campus.

Sandra was born on March 1, 1942 in Hartford, the daughter of the late Pasquale Rocco and Susie (Kaprusak) Carlina. She was employed by the Town of Burlington as a secretary in the Buildings and Grounds department for many years and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Plainville. A proud supporter of our Veterans, Sandra was an active member of the VFW and American Legion Post 33 of Plainville, having served as Chaplain and in the Ladies Auxiliary. Sandra devoted much of her time through the years volunteering for PARC and was delighted to take part in all of their activities and trips. Sandra enjoyed knitting, was an avid reader, and loved to cook or bake, most famous for her “Rum Balls” that she gifted every holiday season for others to indulge. Sandra was a very sweet, genuine woman who led a life of giving back to others. She will forever be remembered for her legacy of kindness, love, and generosity.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Kayla M. Ryan; her son, Carter J. Hart; her sister, Beverly Gosnell; her brother, Patrick “Butch” Carlina; her granddaughter, Nicole K. Davenport and husband, Drew D. Davenport, along with their children, her great-grandchildren, Grayson D. Davenport and Landrie K. Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.
