Rose (Labato) Lefemine, 99, of Plainville, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. She was the wife of the late Vito Lefemine, who predeceased her in 1984 after 38 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Bristol, Rose was one of seven children to the late Anthony and Catherine (Palmisano) Labato. Raised and educated in Bristol, where she met the love of her life, Vito, Rose worked for New Departure for 35 years. Just shy of her 100th birthday, Rose’s zest for life and sense of humor was infectious and embraced by the friends that she made everywhere she went. She had a deep love for God, her family, and her friends. Her daily rituals included watching mass, praying the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, along with keeping a clean home. Always on the go, Rose had a love for shopping, playing poker and traveling, often driving herself to the casino to run the craps table where she was affectionately known as “Aunt Rose” to those playing alongside her. Her family and friends will greatly miss her spunk and hearing her say “Thank you kindly and I love you dearly!”
She leaves her nieces and nephews, Gerard and Sandy Nadeau, Karen Gagnon, Anthony Labato, Jack and Barbara DiCrisantis, Josephine and Frank Acampora, Jerry Colapinto, Frank and Mary Ann Colapinto, MaryAnn and Tom Sherman, Judy Sperduti, Roberta Accousti, Carol Accousti and several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Michael and Casario Labato and Angelo DiCrisantis; her three sisters, Angie Mozelak, Esther Nadeau, and Julia Lagasse; her nephews, William Accousti, Frank Accousti and William Nadeau; and her niece, Eileen Colapinto.
The family would like to thank all of her family and friends, the staff at the Farmington Station and the hospice team at the Hospital of Central Connecticut for their kindness and compassionate care.
