Ronald Blanchette of Plainville, husband of Leslie (Christensen) Blanchette, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 69. A devoted husband and father, Ron lived a life rooted in hard work and dedication, simplicity, and love.
Born on June 5, 1956, he was one of three children to the late Gene Patrick and Claire (Ouellette) Blanchette. Ron was a proud graduate of Plainville High School, and, at the age of 18, he began what would become a remarkable 45-year career with Tilcon where he was respected for his strong work ethic and reliability. He retired in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and humble pride.
Ron cherished the simple joys in life: a well-tended lawn and garden, a crisp fall Sunday with the Dallas Cowboys on TV, and classic country music playing in the background. His yard was his sanctuary, a place of quiet beauty and order that reflected his meticulous nature and appreciation for the little things.
For the past 24 years, Ron shared his life with his beloved wife, Leslie. Together, they enjoyed long conversations, good music, and the loving company of their two feline companions, Sheldon and Leonard. Their home was always filled with warmth, laughter and a perfect lawn. Ron was the kind of man who made friends wherever he went. His easygoing nature, genuine smile, and willingness to lend a hand earned him many lasting friendships throughout the years. He was a good neighbor and a loyal friend, who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his wife, Leslie, he leaves his daughter, Nicole LeGere and her husband Joe; his brother Bobby Blanchette; his brothers-in-law, Jeff Jones and Joe Ettorre and his wife Debbie; his sister-in-law Claudia Person and her husband Joe; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Sue Jones.
