Roland Daigle

Roland Daigle, 80, of Plainville passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Bristol Hospital. He is now reunited with his loving wife of 51 years, Cecile (Ouellette) Daigle.

Roland was born on October 14, 1941 in Fort Kent, Maine son to the late Aurelle and Anna (Pelletier) Daigle. He was a resident of Plainville for over twenty-five years where he and his wife raised their family. Formerly, Roland worked as a painter for Stanley Works and retired from Morin, a sheet metal company. He was a simple man who liked to keep to himself and was always busy tinkering with his truck, tractor, or lawn mower. He took great pride in his toys.

Roland is survived by his son, David Daigle and his wife Donna, of Collinsville; his daughter, Donna Bly and her husband Gene, of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Sahara Leveille, Shawn Leveille, Amanda Daigle, Kyle Daigle, and Lacey Daigle; his siblings, Joan Ouellette and her husband, Rosaire, Lillian Jandreau and her husband, Harold, Wilmer Daigle and his wife, Joyce, and Marie Paradis. He also leaves behind a number of extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Lucien Paradis.

Funeral Services in honor of Roland’s life will begin on Friday, November 19 at 9 AM from Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad Street, Plainville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad Street, Plainville. Burial will be held in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Plainville. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, November 18 from 6 to 8 PM.
