Robert A. Brodeur, 78 of Bristol, peacefully left this world with his family by his side on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Born on August 11, 1946, to Joseph and Emelda (Roy) Brodeur, Bob was raised and educated in Taunton, MA. He proudly served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force, and was honorably discharged in 1968.
Bob's professional life was marked by decades of dedication as a senior representative for AmeriGas, where his charm and warmth led to a serendipitous meeting with the love of his life, his "Cutie Boots" Sondra Duperry. For 34 wonderful years, they shared life as partners and best friends.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: sports on the TV, a nice glass of cognac, a game of cards and sharing a laugh over his occasional practical jokes. An avid history buff, Bob appreciated the stories of the past and cherished his time spent fishing and canoeing. Bob was a force of kindness and humor with a laugh that filled the room, and will be remembered fondly.
In addition to his wife Sondra, he leaves his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carla Brodeur and their children, Isaiah and Savannah; his sister J and her family; his sister-in-law Dawn Young, her husband Tarp and their children, Hailey and her fiancé Paul Colangelo, Ryan Young, Stephanie Spreda, her partner, Joseph Skerritt and their children, Joseph and Lola.
In lieu of flowers, Bob may be remembered with contributions to benefit his fellow local veterans through the House of Heroes Connecticut at http://www.hohct.org
