Phyllis L. (Ouellette) Fentner, 65, of Bristol passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 22, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Steven Fentner for over 33 years.
Phyllis was born on January 14, 1958 in Hartford, daughter of the late Philip and Thelma (Skidgel) Ouellette. Phyllis enjoyed reading, playing all types of board games with her adored grandson, Bentley, as well as playing Bubble Witch and Candy Crush. She loved her plants and was well known for her green thumb, especially when it came to her plethora of orchids that were always blooming in her living room. Always enjoying the little things in life and never taking a day for granted, Phyllis loved lounging on her back deck, gathering for BBQ’s, preparing and eating Stuffed Shells and venturing out with her husband, Steve, on their Brewery Crawls. Above all, Phyllis loved her family more than anything in this world, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and many fond memories.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Steven Fentner, of Bristol, her daughter, Nadine Fentner and her husband, Michael Gugliotti, of Hicksville, NY, her daughter, Chelsey Fentner and her significant other, Adam Della Bianca, of Bristol, her cherished grandson, Bentley Beland, of Bristol, whom she had a very special bond with, and her brother, Leo Ouellette and his wife, Antoinette, of Southington. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Roy Ouellette.
Phyllis’ family will celebrate her life at a later date. The staff at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad Street, extends their gratitude to the Fentner family for their trust. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, 201 N. Mountain Rd, Plainville, CT 06062.
