Peter Marinelli, 66 of Plainville, passed away following a hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday May 19, 2024.
Born on September 16, 1957, Peter was one of three sons to the late Teddy and Mary (Lucente) Marinelli. He was a lifelong resident of Plainville, and 1976 graduate of Plainville High School. A man of strong work ethics and proud Italian heritage, Peter dedicated many years of service at Stanley Works before embracing a well-deserved retirement that he was very much looking forward to. Known for his passion for bowling and love of life's simple pleasures, Peter cherished nothing more than Sunday dinners with his family, relishing in his mom's savory meatballs and dad's homemade wine. His joy knew no bounds when surrounded by loved ones, basking in the warmth of family and cherished traditions. He embraced the simple joys that made his life truly meaningful and will be missed by his family that he loved so dearly.
Peter is survived by his devoted brother, Jerry Marinelli and his wife Sharon; his nephew Kevin Marinelli and his great-nephew Kyle Marinelli. He was predeceased by his brother, John.
In lieu of flowers, Peter may be remembered with contributions to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org
