Pearl Gilpatrick Obituary

Pearl A. (Cheney) Gilpatrick, 95, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Apple Rehab Farmington Valley.

She was the wife of the late Carl Gilpatrick. Born August 28, 1927, and raised in Lubec, Maine. She was the last surviving of seven children to the late Reginauld and Margaret Cheney. She moved to Connecticut in the 1960s with Carl and was a dedicated nurse at Bristol Hospital until her retirement.

In addition to her first husband, Carl Gilpatrick, she was also predeceased by her second husband, Vincent Choquette.

She was the youngest of seven children and predeceased by her siblings, Clifton, Victor, Alger, Clayton, Bernard, and Louise. She leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family, and her three stepsons Marvin, Keith and Kevin Choquette.

She also leaves behind a close longtime family friend she thought of as a niece, Peggy Sue (Matthews) Casarella. Peggy's parents also came from Lubec and grew up with Carl and Pearl. They were like family, and Peggy cared for Pearl in her final years. According to her wishes, Peggy will return Pearl to her beloved hometown of Lubec to be laid to rest.
