Pauline Trelli, 98, of Bristol passed away peacefully at Shady Oaks Assisted Living after a long, beautiful life. She was born at home in Plainville, CT on May 27,1925, attending 8th grade at Greene Hills School and graduating from Bristol High School. She worked and lived in Bristol until her death on February 11, 2024.
Prior to retiring, she worked at Superior Electric for 30 years and 10 years at Ingraham’s Manufacturing before that. She was a skilled clothing seamstress and had a passion for quilting in her later years. She enjoyed with great skill the art of hand embroidery and cooking, Dahma’s mac and cheese, for a family favorite. Many friends and family received her handmade gifts, along with her love, encouragement, advice, and hugs.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Marsha Lockhart and her husband, Donald Lockhart; her granddaughter, Sheri Sparks and her husband, Patrick; her grandsons, Andrew Morneault, Jr. and James Morneault; her great-granddaughter, Pauline Sparks; and her great-grandson, Maximillian Sparks. She took joy in being called “Dahma” by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, their friends, and all who knew her best. Her legacy of love and dedication has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
The youngest of five siblings, Pauline was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond, Warren, and Reginald Smith; her sister, Marion Bonney; and her brother-in-law, Edson Bonney.
Pauline’s family would like to thank Vitas Hospice and the amazing nurses, aides, and staff of Shady Oaks Assisted Living, for their dedicated care of Pauline this past month.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Dahma’s life will be held at a later date in the spring. As a memorial gift, please consider a donation to the Forestville Village Association, PO Box 9675, Bristol, CT 06010 in Pauline’s name.
