Paul Mangiafico Obituary

Paul Mangiafico, loving father and friend, 55, of Cobalt, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2022 at home.

Paul was born on December 21, 1966 in Hartford, CT son to Gale (Amlo) Wyman and the late Vittorio Mangiafico. He grew up in Wethersfield and attended local schools. Paul was an electrician by trade but fate brought him to pursue a 25-year career with OSHA, where he was a well-respected compliance assistant specialist and appreciated educating others on the importance of safety in their fields. Paul was a lover with a heart of gold- he was always looking out for others and their best interest. There was no doubt in Paul being there for others in their time of need and he was always a phone call away. He had a passion for fishing, hiking, going to turkey shoots and just in general being outdoors. He enjoyed tending to his garden and taking photos to capture special moments. He was an avid bird watcher and always kept a set of binoculars on him so that he would never miss the opportunity to embrace their beauty. Paul was heavily involved with politics, always staying up to date with the latest news. He absolutely loved animals and he especially had a soft spot for golden retrievers, constantly watching videos of them. His passion and love for animals ran so strong that he became a vegan and regretted not a single day of his decision to do so. Paul also loved to cook and his family enjoyed many delicious meals that he prepared. In his down time, he liked to sit back and watch a good movie or series on tv. Paul was loved by so many people and he will be missed deeply.

Paul is survived by his mother, Gale Wyman, his daughter, Sarah Mangiafico and her fiancé, Kyle Boucher, his brother, Salvatore Mangiafico and his wife, Renee Brecht-Mangiafico, his sister, Laura Mangiafico-Bartolotta and her husband, Scott Norman, his two nieces, his 2 great-nieces, a great-nephew, several extended family members and a large circle of friends. He also leaves behind his loyal, loving furry companion, Kelly.
