Paul Johns, 57 of Southington, sadly left this earthly life unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Born on August 8, 1966, he was the son of the late David Johns and Patricia (Donahue)Johns Lucy. Paul was a hardworking individual who dedicated himself to various endeavors throughout his life. Having been raised and educated in Pawcatuck, he had a deep passion for sports from a young age, playing football in his youth and was a lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins. He continued to enthusiastically cheer on his favorite teams of any and all sports throughout his life. Sports remained a constant means of joy in Paul’s life. Paul served at the supervisor of catering for Sodexo, helping oversee operations at the University of New Haven where he forged many meaningful friendships. He found joy in spending time outdoors, going fishing, tending to his tomato plants or feeding the squirrels. Paul was a generous soul who always put others before himself, ready to give the shirt off his back to his friends and strangers alike. His kind and selfless nature extended beyond his professional pursuits, as he was an animal lover, a devoted uncle and a loving dog dad to his rescue pups, Delilah and Cruz. He will be missed dearly and remembered fondly for his warm heart, loyalty, and generosity.
He is survived by his life partner and best friend of over 20 years, Amy Fiorello, with her brother Albert Fiorello completing their “triangle”, with whom Paul shared a brotherly bond. He leaves his brothers, Matthew Johns, his wife Alison and their children Ryan and Emily and Eric Johns and his son Jake; his sister, Kimberly Massimini; his niece Alexandra Marchand and his brother-in-law Paul Marchand. He was predeceased by his sister, Kelly Marchand, who we know welcomed him with open arms into the afterlife as she was so very, very dear to Paul.
