Paul Fangiullo Obituary

Paul G. Fangiullo, 90, of Plainville passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Apple Rehab of Farmington Valley in Plainville surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Anne (Centurelli) Fangiullo with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

Paul was born January 19, 1930 in Plainville a son of the late Antonio and Clementina (Apruzzese) Fangiullo and was a lifelong Plainville resident. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War between 1951 and 1953. He had worked as a machinist at Pratt and Whitney retiring after 37 years of service. He was vice president of CCARC for many years. Paul was an avid bowler and hunter and loved playing baseball and softball. He enjoyed trips to the casino, but mostly cherished spending time with his family. Paul was a great joke and storyteller entertaining family and friends for years.

Besides his wife Anne, he leaves his sons, Michael, Mark and his wife Lynn and Thomas and his wife Katie, his daughter, Candice Gelpke and her husband David, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Paul was predeceased by his daughter Paula, his brothers George and Christy and his sister Josephine Kling.

Funeral services and burial with military honors in Saint Joseph Cemetery will be celebrated by Paul’s family privately. The staff of Plainville Funeral Home 81 Broad Street wishes to extend their gratitude to the Fangiullo family for their trust.
