Patrick Ouellette, Sr., cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the age of 73. Pat spent his life rooted in a hard work ethic that inspired everyone around him.
Born on April 5, 1951, in Frenchville, ME, he was one of four children to the late Lucien and Clara (Dubois) Ouellette. The husband of Janet (Muszynski) Ouellette, they called Plainville their home where they raised their two children and celebrated a remarkable 50 years of marriage this past June. He wore the title of "Pepere" with pride, finding joy in every moment spent with his granddaughters, who were the light of his life. For over 50 years, he was the go-to master mechanic at Crowley Volkswagen, where his skill and passion for tinkering made him an asset to his coworkers and fellow mechanics. His expertise never went unnoticed, and he proudly shared his knowledge with anyone eager to learn. Beyond work, Pat embraced the great outdoors as a lifelong hunter, and enjoyed seasonal camping for over 20 years at Odetah Camping Resort in Bozrah, where he and his family created memories, made lifelong friends, and reveled in nature’s beauty. Throughout his retirement, Pat also treasured his time spent caregiving for his niece Heather's children, his great niece and nephew, Cole and Ava. Pat's spirit will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be remembered not just for his hard work and dedication but for his warmth and the loving memories he created with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Janet, he leaves his children, Patrick Ouellette Jr. and his wife Jessica, and Jennifer Ouellette; his granddaughters, Maia and Emery; his sisters, Bernadette Mayes (Catfish) and Rena Belanger (Don) and his brother, Mark Ouellette (Barb), along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
