Patricia J. (Dulac) Roy

Patricia J. (Dulac) Roy, 84, of Bristol passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023 at the Hospital of Central CT New Britain General Campus. She was the devoted and loving wife of Raymond L. Roy for 57 years.

Patricia was born at home on January 30, 1939 in Plainville daughter to the late Eugene and Ruth (Jones) Dulac. A longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Patricia was a devout Catholic, keeping her faith prominent to her last days, consistently praying for her loved ones. She worked at General Electric in Plainville for 40 years in the shipping and receiving department, retiring after many dedicated years. Patricia enjoyed attending antique car shows with her husband throughout the years. Every summer, Patricia, Raymond and their family would go on their annual summer trips to Skowhegan, Maine where they made many everlasting memories. Family was the center of Patricia’s life and she supported her children and grandchildren’s endeavors, never missing an important event. She enjoyed visiting with relatives and being surrounded by those she loved most. A woman full of faith, love, and devotion, Patricia will be missed deeply by her family leaving them with many very special memories.

In addition to her husband, Raymond L. Roy, of Bristol, Patricia is survived by her sons, Raymond J. Roy and his wife, Christina, David E. Roy and his wife, Christine, and Michael Roy and his wife, Nancy, all of Plainville, her daughter, Holly Borden and her husband, Eric, of Bristol, her grandchildren, Alyssa and Noah Roy, Ashley and Rayne Roy, Brianna and Christopher Roy, and Eli and Liam Borden, her sister, Jean Lombardo, her brother, Thomas Dulac and his wife, Andree, her sister-in-law, Nancy Dulac, and many extended family members and a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Fred Dulac and her sister, Annette Dulac.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, October 6 from 5 to 7 PM at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St., Plainville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 7 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Plainville. Donations in memory of Patricia can be made to the Plainville Community Food Pantry, 54 S. Canal St., Plainville, CT 06062.
