Michael St. Pierre Obituary

Michael Roger St. Pierre, 58, of Plainville, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, August 24, 2025 following a lengthy courageous battle with liver cancer.
Michael was born on May 24, 1967 in New Britain, son to Roger and Isabel (San Juan) St. Pierre. He carried the proud legacy of the St. Pierre name with him throughout his life, exemplifying the values of love, integrity, and loyalty that his family instilled in him.
A graduate of Newington High School, Michael went on to build a life rooted in hard work and compassion. In his early twenties, he founded Saints Quality Cleaning, a business that reflected his warm, friendly spirit. Michael brought light and positivity to his clients’ lives, offering not just service, but genuine human connection.
Michael had a deep and abiding love for animals, especially his dogs and cats. He was especially drawn to those in need of care and affection, and his gentle, patient nature seemed to draw them to him in return.
Michael was a man who thrived in the great outdoors. He found joy in skiing down expert slopes, casting his fishing line into open waters, and camping under the stars with family and friends. Around the campfire, his laughter, storytelling, and expertly grilled meals were at the center of fond memories.
In addition, his spirit was deeply intertwined with the vibrant atmosphere of the Saratoga horse races, a tradition he began as a young boy with his parents. That passion endured throughout his life, and he was always eager to share the excitement and camaraderie of the races with loved ones and fellow enthusiasts.
Michael was an avid sports fan, particularly the Boston Red Sox, UConn Huskies, and his beloved Giants. Sports were an influential part of his life; he played lacrosse throughout high school and was a fan of basement hockey games with his nephews. He attended many Hartford Whaler’s games and continued to root for them after they became the Carolina Hurricanes.
He had an infectious passion for music, particularly classic rock, and spent countless nights at concerts, reveling in the sounds of his favorite bands. He was known for the little jingles he would spontaneously compose, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. His ability to lighten any room with his impromptu tunes and impressions was a testament to his goofy personality and his gift for making life more enjoyable for others.
Michael was a warm and friendly soul who had a unique ability to make friends wherever he went. The relationships he created were fostered over his lifetime and were deeply cherished. Michael’s life was marked by love—for people, for animals, for nature, and for the moments that bring us together. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Traci (Pakalnis) St. Pierre; his beloved children, Madeline St. Pierre, Luc St. Pierre, and Caroline St. Pierre; his only granddaughter, Amelia; his sisters, Michelle Perry and her husband, Bob, Sheree Covaleski and her husband, Neil, Debbie Treado, and Renee Smith and her husband, Richard; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Byron Treado.
