Manuel Dario Ramirez 84 of Plainville, passed away peacefully with his beloved wife of 55 years, Claudia (Stanley) Ramirez, by his side on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. A devoted husband, dedicated family man, and hardworking, selfless soul, Manuel lived a life defined by love, humility, and quiet strength.
Dario, as he was known to his friends and family, was born and raised in Colombia, one of four sons born to the late Godofredo and Rosalba (Uribe) Ramirez. As a young adult, he moved to the United States, where he would go on to build a beautiful life rooted in family, perseverance, and devotion. He married the love of his life, Claudia, and together they built their home in Plainville in 1979.
In addition to his wife, Claudia, he leaves his brothers, Carlos Julio Ramirez and Marco Antonio Ramirez, both of Colombia; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother, Alonso Alberto Ramirez

Family and friends may gather on Wednesday May 13, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
