Lisa Lubrico Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa (Vanore) Lubrico, of Plainville, who left this world on February 5, 2025, at the age of 91. She was the devoted and loving wife for over 68 years to Carl Lubrico, Sr.

Lisa was born on July 6, 1933 in Santa Barbara, Caserta, Italy daughter to the late Ciro and Angela (Dellaquilla) Vanore. Despite the hardships in her adolescent years being raised in Italy during wartime, Lisa's love story with her husband, Carl, began with simple exchanges of letters across the seas. What started as pen-pals blossomed into a profound connection, culminating in their joyous meeting when Carl visited Italy, where they sealed their love with marriage. Following her heart, Lisa immigrated to the United States with Carl and together they settled in Plainville, where they built a nurturing home and raised their son.

Lisa was a proud rivet operator for Wasley Products for many years, where she showed an immeasurable commitment to her craft. Her work ethic was a testament to her character; Lisa and Carl built their lives through perseverance and grit, achieving everything they had through their own hard work. Together, they cherished the simple joys of life, never taking their accomplishments or each other for granted.

Throughout her life, Lisa exemplified strength and grace, earning the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege to know her. She was known for her incredible hospitality, hosting weekly gatherings where laughter filled the air, and her culinary skills transformed every meal into a feast of flavors. Her love for cooking was only rivaled by her passion for gardening, and she took immense pride in using fresh vegetables from her garden to create delightful dishes shared with friends and family.

A devoted Catholic, she held a profound belief in the power of Christianity and the Saints, guiding her through life’s challenges and triumphs. Lisa's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with cherished friendships and deep connections. She embraced life with a joyful spirit, never showing up empty handed and always finding the time to uplift others or lend a helping hand. Her kindness was a beacon for friends and strangers alike, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to share moments with her.

In addition to her husband, Carl Lubrico, Sr., Lisa is survived by her son, Carl Lubrico, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen; her granddaughter, Amanda Lubrico; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her siblings, John, Clementine, Frank, Maria, and Gracie.
