Linda Rose Ierardi

Linda Rose Ierardi, 69, passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2020 at Avery Heights in Hartford.

Born on October 24, 1950, she was one of four children to the late Joseph A. and Margaret (Lasewicz) Ierardi.  Raised and educated in Plainville, she was a 1968 graduate of Plainville High School, and furthered her education at Wilcox College of Nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse in 1972.  She attended school in Arizona for a year for graduate study in Neonatal, and upon returning to Connecticut, worked for UCONN Medical Center Neonatal unit for 10 years.  Her passion for caring for children continued through her work as a private duty nurse for a homecare agency, working with children with special needs.  Linda lived in Chester and Glastonbury for several years and in the 1980’s, fulfilled and shared her love for cooking and baking as part owner of a local bakery in Chester.   She had a great appreciation for the outdoors and all of nature especially the beach and ocean air, and was a proud dog mom to her rescue poodle, Abby.

Linda’s family would like to thank the Avery Heights Church Homes for the kindness, patience and wonderful care while she resided there for the past three years.

Linda leaves her sister, Kathy Knox of Plainville; her brothers, Robert Ierardi and his wife, Laurie Kilmartin of NY, and Joseph Ierardi, Jr. of RI; along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Linda may be remembered with contributions to Avery Heights Village Fund, Church Homes, Inc., 217 Avery Heights, Hartford, Ct, 06106-4200.

Funeral services in celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date, when all are able to gather together.  The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to Linda’s family for their trust.
