Linda Dixon Obituary

Linda Lee Dixon, 53, of Plainville, devoted wife and mother, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024 at THOCC-New Britain General Campus surrounded by her loved ones following a lengthy, courageous battle with breast cancer. She is now reunited with her infant son, Kyle Dixon, whom she longed to hold again in her loving, nurturing arms.

Linda was born on May 25, 1970, in Bristol, CT, daughter of Barbara (Ziolkowski) (Adamowicz) Leone and the late Joseph Adamowicz. She grew up in Southington, attended local Catholic schools and graduated from Southington High School Class of 1988, where she made many lifelong friendships. Linda embraced each day with zest and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.

Linda was a beacon of love and light and her boundless energy and optimism were infectious. She dedicated herself to her family and shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband of 32 years, William “Bill” Dixon. Their bond was one of unwavering support and love, built upon a solid foundation of trust and understanding. Together, they settled in Plainville and raised a family, sharing many unforgettable memories that they will forever cherish.

Linda's warm smile and vibrant spirit will forever be etched in the memories of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda had a zest for life and cherished the simple joys it offered. She found solace in the great outdoors, spending cherished moments camping with family and friends. Linda had an immense love for the beauty of nature and her green thumb was evident to all who had the pleasure of visiting her home, as she carefully selected flowers to complement each passing season; From daffodils or tulips in the spring, to colorful mixtures in the summer, to mums in the fall, Linda's garden became a living painting, enchanting all who beheld it. Her love for game shows was evident as she would often spend evenings at home, relaxing in her favorite chair while eagerly watching contestants answer trivia questions and solve puzzles. She had an uncanny ability to shout out the correct answers from the comfort of her living room and treasured the excitement that the shows brought into her life. Linda will be sorely missed, as her family and friends forever remember her beautiful smile and infectious laugh, leaving a legacy of positivity, kindness, and everlasting love.
