Liann Pelletier Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Liann Pelletier, a vibrant spirit, and beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend who left this world unexpectedly on Saturday on March 29, 2025.

Born in New Britain on November 20, 1968, Liann was one of four children to the late Roland and Arline (Ouellette) Pelletier and was raised and educated in Plainville, where her love for family and fondness for music blossomed.  For nearly 25 years, Liann was the energy account manager at CBIA, where her co-workers were her second family.  She brought love, laughter and amusement to the office each and every day, making the work environment enjoyable.  Her passion for music, particularly hip-hop, was a defining feature of her life. As "DJ Switch," she made her mark in the music industry, starting as a DJ at 89.3 WRTC at Trinity College, and gracefully expanding her reach to prominent events in New York City, the Bronx and Harlem, meeting many notable artists along her journeys.  A woman who embraced life to the fullest, Liann was a sociable soul with an extensive circle of friends that spanned the U.S. Her charm, infectious laugh and enthusiasm brightened the lives of everyone she met, as she effortlessly made instant connections and cherished memories. Known for her vast collection of sneakers and her keen eye for event planning, she played a pivotal role in local music festivals and gatherings, always striving to bring people together through their shared joy of music.  Above all, her family remained the center of her world.  A proud mother, she spoke of her son Cameron with immense pride and love, celebrating every moment they shared.  A devoted sister, the profound connection she shared with her twin Liette was truly extraordinary; and as an aunt and “dog-aunt” she was more like a second mom. Her vibrant presence will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.

She is survived by her beloved son, Cameron Agbaso; her twin sister with whom she shared and unbreakable bond, Liette Pelletier; her brothers Michael and James Pelletier; her niece Faith Pelletier;  her niece, goddaughter, bestie and “road dawg” Sierra Brantley and her fiancé Manuel Moure; and her sister-in-law Deborah Foster. She also leaves her best friends, Toni Holmes and Kristen Stewart, her husband Morgan and their daughters, Vanessa, Fiona and Nora; and last but certainly not least, her doggie nephews, Rambo and her favorite Jack, the dog she “shared a heart” with and spoiled unconditionally.

Family and friends may gather in celebration of Liann’s life on Saturday April 5, 2025 from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville.  Words of remembrance led by Life Celebrant Jesse Gnazzo will be shared at 11:00 a.m.  For online expressions of sympathy, please visit http://www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
