Lalena Marie “Lannie” Pooler, 54, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2026, surrounded by the immense love of her family and dear friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Lannie faced every challenge with remarkable strength, grace, and love for life, always staying strong for the people she loved most.
Born in Hartford on August 22, 1971, Lannie was the daughter of the late David Reindel and Corinne (Motyka) Day. She spent her early years in Farmington and graduated from Bristol Central High School, where the vibrant and caring spirit so many would come to cherish was already shining brightly.
In 2003, Lannie married the love of her life and best friend, Jeffrey. Together they built a beautiful life in Plainville, where they raise their adored daughters in a home overflowing with love, laughter, and warmth. Their home was more than a house; it was a gathering place where everyone felt welcome, cared for, and always at ease.
Lannie worked in the mortgage profession for many years and was currently employed at Total Mortgage, where she formed countless lasting friendships with coworkers and clients alike. Her warm personality, ever-present smile, and genuine kindness left an unforgettable impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Known as the ultimate host and a true social butterfly, Lannie had a gift for bringing people together. Whether she was preparing an elaborate charcuterie board, whipping up gourmet snacks, or simply opening her door to friends and family, she created moments that made people feel loved and connected. Conversations with Lannie never seemed long enough; she could talk on the phone for hours, make friends wherever she went, and keep those friendships strong for a lifetime. Lannie found joy in life’s simple beauties. She loved sitting outside and soaking in nature, watching birds flutter through the yard, dipping her toes in the pool with her rescue pup William by her side, and listening to the rumble of a summer thunderstorm. She embraced each day with gratitude, humor, and a heart that made others feel seen and valued. She will be remembered for her radiant spirit, generous heart, devotion to her family, and the joy she brought into every room she entered.
In addition to her husband Jeff, she leaves her daughters who are her world, Brianna Faye and Hailey Marie; and a wide circle of friends, all who will miss her dearly.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday May 31, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville. Words of remembrance will be shared at 12 p.m. For online expressions of sympathy, please visit http://www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
