Kyle Johnson Obituary

It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of Kyle Thomas Johnson, 32, of Bristol, formerly of Burlington, who unexpectedly left this earthly life on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Devoted fiancé, son, brother and friend to many, Kyle will be missed beyond measure.

Kyle was born on April 21, 1992 in New Britain, CT son to Christine J. Bianco and the late John O. Johnson. Holding a close relationship with his grandparents, Kyle resided with them for a short period of time and attended Cheshire High School prior to his move to Burlington where he graduated from Lewis Mills High School in 2010.  It was on the bus to Lewis Mills where Kyle met his high school sweetheart, Kayla Lederman, who quickly became his soulmate, as they shared a deep bond that withstood the test of time. Together, they found joy in spending time together, from attending fairs throughout Connecticut, hitting the slopes, attending concerts or dinners together, or simply relaxing at home with their beloved feline fur baby, Delilah, creating cherished memories that will never be forgotten. Kyle treasured Kayla dearly and their anticipation of becoming one through marriage was palpable, with the couple eagerly awaiting their special day. Although their time together was cut short, their love was larger than life.

Kyle was identified in school at an early age for the “gifted & talented” program. There was nothing that he couldn’t figure out, or to fix whatever needed to be solved. By pursuing classes at Tunxis Community College, Kyle discovered his natural talents and carved a successful path in the construction field, most recently employed as a laborer for Dayton Bros. Construction. His expertise and unwavering work ethic endeared him to colleagues, friends, and family alike. Kyle deeply cherished his work in the construction industry, showcasing a dedicated passion that inspired those around him.

Kyle brought laughter and light to all who knew him. His sense of humor was legendary, and his infectious laughter would often lead to joyous laughing sessions with friends and family, often times for reasons that were unexplainable. Known for his warm and welcoming personality, Kyle was a true people's person who effortlessly connected with those around him. His capacity to love knew no bounds.  A great hugger who shared a “love you” in every conversation, whether in person, on the phone or in text, if you were blessed to be loved by him you knew it and you felt it deeply.   His witty demeanor and kind heart touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Throughout his life, Kyle found great joy and solace in the art of cooking, becoming not just a talented chef but a generous host who welcomed family and friends into his home with open arms and delectable dishes. His kitchen creations were a testament to his creativity and love for bringing people together over a shared meal. Kyle cherished the time spent with his loved ones, upholding cherished traditions and creating lasting memories during Football Sundays, where he delighted in hosting watch parties and preparing delicious snacks and meals for all who gathered around the television. The enthusiasm in the room was more intense while Kyle’s favorite team, the Patriots, were playing. Beyond the kitchen, Kyle found amusement in the alternate world of video games, immersing himself in virtual experiences that sparked his imagination and provided moments of satisfaction and relaxation.  He enjoyed playing all sports, with snowboarding being his favorite, a passion he shared with his brother as they both were instructors at Ski Sundown.  Family trips, cruises to the Caribbean, and simply being surrounded by his family and friends brought him the most joy.

As we mourn the loss of Kyle, we remember the love and light he brought into the world. His compassionate nature and genuine spirit touched the lives of those around him, leaving behind unforgettable memories that will endure.

Kyle is survived by his beloved fiancée and wife-to-be, Kayla Lederman; his mother, to whom he was the best son anyone could hope for, Christine J. Bianco; his brother and best friend, Andrew Johnson and his girlfriend, Taylor; his grandparents, Meme and Ray Kozlowski; his future mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Joe Lederman; his future sister-in-law, Lauren Lederman; his best friend, Billy Blaschke; many extended family members, including aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a large circle of friends and colleagues. Kyle is now reunited with his father with whom he shared a special bond, John O. Johnson, who predeceased him in 2017.
