Kristen Anne Daniels-Zukley

Kristen Anne Daniels Zukley, 42, of Plainville, passed away at home after a brief illness on May 27th, 2024. Kristen was born on September 2nd, 1981, daughter to Marion “Dee” (Gryk) Daniels and the late Raymond John Daniels. Kristen grew up in Bristol, CT and graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1999. Always spunky, charismatic and determined, Kristen was recruited and worked her way up through the ranks of several Hartford area law firms before eventually landing her dream career, a promotion to paralegal. She was highly respected in her profession and began each day with a positive outlook, willing to take on whatever task may come her way.

Kristen was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, wife and friend. She had a smile and a laugh that could fill any room. She was always up for a fun time, with some of her favorite spots being at the beach with “The Bun,” craft fairs, Atlantic City girls’ trips, Hilton Head, Mexico, and, most recently, a trip to celebrate her 40th birthday in Las Vegas. And no list of Kristen’s favorite spots would be complete without mentioning the Daniels’ family yearly trip to Oak N’ Spruce resort in the Berkshires. Though tiny in size, that condo bursting with family members contributed to abundant memories. Kristen was also a master pierogi maker and the annual family “pierogi making fest” in December will never be the same without her…and no pierogi will ever taste or look as good as the ones she made.

In addition to her treasured and loving mother, Marion “Dee” (Gryk) Daniels and her husband, Donald Sargent, of Enfield, CT, Kristen leaves her “bonus mother” and beloved aunt, Marilyn “Bunnie” Nichols, of Southington, CT, her husband, Ian Zukley and his family, her sister and brother-in-law, Marcy and Thomas Lavoie, of Newington, CT, her brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Natasha Daniels, of West Hartford, CT, her step-sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Matt Parker, of Berkley, MA, her nieces, Molly Lavoie, Harlow Daniels, Penelope Daniels, and Katie Parker, her nephews, Noah Lavoie, Felix Daniels, Josh Parker, many cousins who were more like sisters to Kristen, including Robyn Nichols, of Southington, CT, Melissa Nichols, of Bristol, CT and Dawn Angeletti, of Savannah, GA, and countless other loving family and friends. Every single minute of every single day she will be missed - If love could have saved Kristen, she would have lived forever.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Sunday, June 2nd, from 2-4 PM (words of remembrance will be shared at 3 PM) in the lower level of the Church of Christ Congregational, United Church of Christ, 1075 Main St. Newington, CT 06111. Please park in the area immediately surrounding the church or at the OFI building at 28 Garfield St. Newington, CT. Burial will be held privately at a later date. The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their appreciation to Kristen's family for their trust.
