Kathleen Mary "Kathy" (Roy) LaBella

Kathleen Mary “Kathy” (Roy) LaBella, known affectionately as “Bella,” 53, loving mother, grandmother, and friend of Torrington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Kathy was born on February 23, 1968 in Hartford, daughter to Elizabeth (Marchesi) Roy and the late Raymond Roy. Kathy was one of the most kind hearted people who was grateful to help others in any capacity that she could. A natural people-person, Kathy was a waitress for many years making many lasting impressions and building friendships over the span of her career. She was the former owner of Central Perk in New Britain and she was most recently employed by the 99 Restaurant in Torrington. She had a way to her that made people instantly love her, with a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was highly contagious. In her downtime, Kathy enjoyed watching a good movie or Criminal Minds alongside her children, with her favorite purple Powerade and Milk Duds to indulge in. She was a devoted mother of three and a proud grandmother to Ryan, who was the light of her life. A true gem, she will be missed immensely by her family as they cherish the memories they have shared together over the years.

Kathy is survived by her three children, Elizabeth “Liz” LaBella, of Torrington, Ethan and Abby Roy, of New Britain; her grandson, Ryan G. Kremzar, of Torrington; her mother, Elizabeth Roy, of New Britain; and her sister, Christine (Roy) Williams and her husband, Anthony, and their son, Andrew.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad Street, Plainville from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
