Jan (John) Czerepuszko, 79 of Plainville, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. He was the loving husband of Janice (Pieta) Czerepuszko for 57 years.
John, as he was known to many, was born in Poland on May 29, 1944 in the village of Kamiena Stara, one of eight children to the late Waclaw and Leokadia (Michalowska) Czerepuszko, and immigrated to the United States at the age of 17 seeking a brighter future. With unwavering determination and focus, he graduated from Hartford State Tech, embarking on a remarkable nearly 40 year journey as a Manufacturing Engineer. He leaves a legacy of hard work and dedication at Marlin Firearms, where he demonstrated commitment and dedication to the profession that he loved. John’s true passion was his family, to whom he was a source of inspiration, showing that one can achieve greatness even in the face of challenges. A devoted husband and father to his three sons, John’s heart swelled with love for his grandchildren who’s presence brought immeasurable joy to his life. John’s legacy is one of resilience, hard work ethics and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his wife Janice, he leaves his sons, Mark and his wife Karen, Paul and his wife Melissa, and Thomas. He was the proud “Dziadzi” to Connor, Jill, Josh, Blake, Abby and Michael. He also leaves his sisters, Krystina Marcom (Dennis), Irene Dybinski (Waclaw) and Sophie Deprey (Rick), along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Tadeusz, Roman and Michael and his sister, Anna Wilson.
