John Beaulieu Obituary

John J. Beaulieu, Jr., 88 passed away on Wednesday January 12,2022 at Bristol Hospital after a brief illness. John was married to the late Anita (Dutil) Beaulieu for 63 years. He was born on July 1, 1933 in Waterville, Maine, son of the late John J. Beaulieu, Sr. and Julia J. (Jacques) Beaulieu.

John was an active member of Wolcott Christian Life Center and enjoyed fellowship with all the people who attended there. He was in the Navy on the US Navrecsta Norva as a Cadet Engineer. He created and hosted the program 12 steps for Christians on Sky cable. He was involved in the prison system doing the 12 steps for Christians over many years. He was a friend of Bills for 55 years. He was a butcher. He worked at New Departure. He was involved with boxing for many years and enjoyed watching fights with his son. He kept track of the Huskies basketball teams and the New England Patriots. He loved his family and playing card games with them.

John leaves behind his son-in-law Lewis Hobbs of Wolcott, his daughter-in-law Ann Beaulieu of Torrington, his grandchildren, Allison Piet (Eric), Rena Hobbs, Stefanie Reidy (Ali), Lindsay Nadeau (Katy), Lewis Hobbs II, Matthew Fletcher (Michele), Shawn Fletcher (Danielle), David Bush (Erica), Kenneth Bush (Amanda), Gregory Bush (Katey), and Ross Bowman (Akum); His Great-grandchildren, Ronan and Deegan Piet, Rylee Fletcher, Hunter Stokes, Scott, Alex, Kylie, Charlie, and Elise Bush. He leaves behind cousins in Maine, several nephews, nieces, and close friends, his Pastor, Bob and his wife Sandi Rulewiz.

Besides his wife Anita, John’s children all passed before him; John J. Beaulieu, 3rd, Jodie Hobbs, and Joleen Fletcher.

Family and friends may gather in celebration of John's life on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville.  Prayers and words of remembrance will be shared at 7:00 p.m., followed by military honors.  For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
