Jeffrey K. Parker, 68, of Bristol, passed away at his home, with his wife, best friend and golf partner, Deborah (Wishart) by his side, on Friday, January 14, 2022.
Born in Southington on December 11, 1953, he was one of three sons to the late Ernest A. and Mary (Bell) Parker. A lifelong resident of Bristol, Jeff was a graduate of St. Paul High School, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from St. Bonaventure University. He enjoyed his position as a computer technician for the University of Hartford for nearly 30 years, leaving only due to his illness. A sports enthusiast, Jeff’s second love to the game of golf was cheering on any and all Boston based teams, most especially the Patriots; and he had a special place in his heart for Cape Cod, making several trips annually. Jeff faced his many years of illness with an admirable strength, determination and optimism, leaving this world on his own terms and is now at peace, joining Arnold Palmer on the fairways in the sky. Remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor and love for music, Jeff will be missed dearly by the many lives he touched.
In addition to his wife Deborah, he leaves his step-son, Derek Wishart and his children, Ardyn and Kai; his brother, Terry Parker and his wife Marsha; his sister-in-law, Denice Parker; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his step-son, Justin Hinckley, his brother Gary Parker and his niece, Cristin Terrwilleger.
Jeff’s family extends their appreciation to the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Bristol for their compassionate care and support.
In lieu of flowers, Jeff may be remembered with contributions to the National Kidney Foundation at http://www.kidney.org
