Jeanne M. (Cyr) Perreault, loving mother, grandmother and a woman of countless talents, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024, at the age of 92. She was the wife of the late John Perreault, Sr., with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.
She was born on May 1, 1931, in Hamlin, Maine; the last surviving of four children to the late Fred and Alice (Michaud) Cyr. For many years, Jeanne dedicated herself to her work at Acme Monaco in New Britain. Her strong work ethic and determination led her to excel in her profession. However, it was her deep love for her grandchildren that eventually prompted her to retire and devote her time to caring for them. Jeanne was a woman of boundless creativity, excelling in various craft projects that showcased her artistic flair. She took great pride in her sewing skills, often fashioning beautiful clothes for her family based on store-bought or picture-inspired designs. Always seeking ways to enhance her living space, no home improvement project was too big or small for Jeanne to tackle. Her ambition and attention to detail were truly remarkable. Family meant everything to her, and she will be missed dearly leaving many cherished memories.
She leaves her son and daughter in law, with whom she made her home for nearly 10 years, John and Katherine Perreault of Plainville; and her adored grandchildren, John (Jay) Perreault, III, Amanda Perreault and her fiancée Wojtek Plachta, Tessa Leyh Perreault and her fiancée Shane McCarthy, and Kristine Hungerford and her husband, Ian; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three siblings and their spouses, Peter and Jeanine Cyr, Rita and Vivan Belanger, and Joan and Jerry Bouffard.
