Jeanette Petrucci of Newington, formerly of New Britain, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with dementia.
Born April 7, 1947 in New Britain to the late Albert and Marion Chesery, Jeanette spent most of her life in New Britain and attended local schools. Jeanette spent the majority of her adult life as a baker and cake decorator for Stop & Shop in New Britain, spending 25 years taking pride in her work and sharing her talent with many until her retirement.
Jeanette loved spending time outdoors with the love of her life, her late husband Alan Petrucci, Sr. She enjoyed reading, music, baking, dancing, trips to Maine and Virginia and spent endless hours speed walking around the neighborhood, making friends with all she zoomed by. Jeanette's contagious joy touched everyone she came into contact with and she will be missed by many.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter Candace Emond & Mel, her son Alan Petrucci, Jr & Krystina, two grandchildren Morgan & Ethan Emond; a sister Bonnie Wirtes & John; her Aunt Martha Roulard; and two sisters in law Carol Brown & Billy and Elizabeth Petrucci. She also leaves her good friends Gary and Carol Carbone; her Grandpuppy & faithful companion, Maverick; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the loving nurses and aides of Masonicare Hospice who helped care for Jeanette in her final days and the support that they provided for the family.
