James Lewis Myers, known to most as “Jimmy,” was born in Lakeland, Florida on August 11, 1980. He passed away peacefully at home in Bristol, Connecticut on May 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Jimmy called Bristol home for most of his life. He had a tough exterior, but beneath it was someone who loved deeply and stood strong for his family.
Later in life, he found his calling behind the wheel as a truck driver—a career that brought him real joy and pride in his final years.
He is survived by his spouse, Alexa Myers; his children, Juliana Myers and James Myers Jr.; his bonus children, Daijon and Jaelen Jackson, and Annelyse Johnson; and his beloved grandsons, Camden, Zahalias, and Jaiamire Jackson.
He is also survived by his mother, Beatrice Hager (Steve), and his brothers: Tony (Melissa), Joey, Matt (Crystal), and Chris. Jimmy was blessed to grow up with a bonus family as well: Diane, Jessica, Tony, Alissa, and Christine. He leaves behind six nephews, five nieces, and two great-nephews—each of whom he loved fiercely and wholly as his own.
Jimmy was predeceased by his beloved dog, King; his best friend, Gregory Jackson; and his Nuna and Papa, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
