James John Davis, 45 of Plainville, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was a man who knew how to live life to the fullest, and his adventurous, kind, and spirited nature will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
James was born on January 7, 1978 to James H. and Maryann (Schultz) Davis, and leaves his younger brother, Matthew, all of Plainville and his Godparents, Mike and Carol Timbro. He also leaves his uncles John (MaryEllen) Riback and Casmir Slipski, his aunts Sophie Riback, Maryjane Schultz, Shirley, Janice and Linda Davis, and Lillian (Tim) Mulvehill. He was predeceased by his uncles, Michael, Raymond Donald Davis and Robert Schultz, and leaves many cousins, extended family and friends whose love and support brought a smile to James’ face regularly. Those who were lucky enough to be part of his life will no doubt be sharing stories and memories of him for years to come.
In his younger days, James attended Plainville schools and later went on to the Gengras Center at the University of St. Joseph from where he graduated. He was a dedicated employee at the Walgreens Warehouse in Windsor, where he worked for over 11 years. A lover of the arts and most especially music, James was a regular attendee at theatres and playhouses throughout the state, and rarely missed the concerts of his favorite artists. He believed that life was best experienced with a soundtrack and never hesitated to share his passion for music with others.
His strong will and determination were evident in every aspect of his life, from his work to his hobbies, and even in his health battles. He can finally rest easy, knowing that he has left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those who loved him.
The Davis family extends their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Hosmer, the nurses and staff members at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Center Oncology and Infusion departments and the Hospital of Central Connecticut Radiation and ICU department for their compassionate care over the past four years while James was undergoing treatment. James connected with each of them and his family is grateful for their kindness and love.
In lieu of flowers, James may be remembered with contributions to Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111 or the American Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.org
