Jacqueline (Durand) Tetro, 70, of Plainville, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. She now joins her husband, Raymond Tetro, Jr., who predeceased her in March of this year.
Born in Van Buren, Maine on April 23, 1950, she moved to Connecticut as a teenager, and settled in Plainville where she met Ray, with whom she shared 43 years of life adventures. A woman with a heart of gold, Jackie’s focus was always on caring for others. She was found most days in her kitchen, cooking or baking homemade specialties for her family and friends to enjoy, and took great pride in her role as “Nana” to her much adored grandchildren. Her boundless strength remained until the end, as she vowed to make it through favorite holiday and succeeded.
She leaves her sons, Scott Tetro and James Tetro; her grandchildren, Scott Tetro, II, Cody Tetro, Denise Chapman, and Jeremy Hewitt; along with her large extended family of step children, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friends, Yvonne and Donna.
Jackie’s selflessness may be remembered with a random act of kindness or a contribution to the charity of one’s choice.
Jacqueline will be laid to rest privately at West Cemetery in Plainville. The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to the Tetro family for their trust. For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
