Howard A Rapacky

Howard A. Rapacky, 62, of Hartford, formerly of Plainville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, March 4, 2022. 

Born on June 20, 1959, he was one of four children to the late Edward Rapacky, Sr and Violet (Coons) Rapacky.  Raised and educated in Plainville, he attended local schools, and, always one to express care and compassion for others, worked as an EMT for close to 20 years.  A car enthusiast in his younger years, Howie also found joy in being a lifelong animal “Dad”, most recently sharing his home with several birds to keep him company.  Remembered as a loving son, brother and uncle, he will be missed.

He leaves his siblings, Barbara Hunt and her husband Gary, Lorraine Rapacky and her husband Luther, and Edward Rapacky Jr., his nephew Edward Rapacky, III, his wife Tricia and their sons Eddie and Ethan; his niece Kimberly Rapacky and his nephew Ryan Hunt.  He was predeceased by his nephew Eric.

In lieu of flowers, Howie may be remembered with contributions to a charity that will benefit animals.
