Herman Richard Belli, 75, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, to rejoin his loving wife, Frances, in heaven.
Herman was loved by all for his kind-hearted nature and his great sense of humor. Herman lived a pretty great life from traveling with his band The ANTS, being a college Radio DJ at CCSU and 40 years at Electric Boat working his way up from a machinist to Master Ship Builder. He loved playing golf, reading and all animals. Herman truly was a kind, intelligent man and will be deeply missed by all those he leaves behind.
Herman is predeceased by his wife, Frances, and her siblings, Joseph/Veronica Charamut, Dorothy Chambrello and William Charamut, along with his parents, Herman Richard Belli, Sr./Kathleen Quinn Belli.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Belli, his daughter, Jennifer Belli, his grandson, Jacob Cox, his siblings, James/Shelly Belli, John/Diane Belli, Kathleen/Thomas Winn Flanagan, Edward/Peggy Belli, Nina/James Gromko Brown and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, March 24 from 5 to 7 PM at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad Street, Plainville. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
