Gloria Jean (Belanger) Fabrizio

Gloria Jean (Belanger) Fabrizio, 73, beloved wife of John Fabrizio, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, November 24, 2024.  A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Gloria lived a life steeped in love, family, and community.

Born on August 16, 1951, she was one of five children to the late Vivan and Rita (Cyr) Belanger.   Gloria and John, her high school sweetheart, shared over 55 years of marriage and raised two sons in their hometown of Plainville, where Gloria left an indelible mark through her work and her passions.  She began her career in banking at Webster before serving the town of Plainville for over 25 years, working in the tax department and overseeing records for the Plainville Police Department.

Gloria possessed a keen eye for decorating, and her love for shopping was well-known, as was her talent for cooking and hosting unforgettable holiday gatherings.  Gloria found joy in simple pleasures, cherishing trips to Vegas with Johnny and visits to Florida to spend time with family. Her zest for life and steadfast love for her family and friends illuminated the lives of all who knew her. 

In addition to her husband, she leaves her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Shaina Fabrizio and Michael and Erika Fabrizio; and her adored grandchildren, Elianna and Vincent, with another on the way in April.  She also leaves her siblings, Lorraine Barrington, Robert Belanger, Richard (Denise) Belanger, and Gail (Michael) Newton; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services in celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church.  Burial will be held privately.  Family and friends may gather on Friday, from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.  For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
