Genesis Rosario, 34 of Bristol, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, departed this earthly life far too soon on Monday, January 26, 2026, after a courageous battle with her illness that she faced with unmatched strength and grace.
Genesis was born on October 24, 1991, in Flushing, Queens, New York, the cherished daughter of Domingo De la Cruz and Eva Hernandez. She was raised in New York, and graduated from New Britain High School where she built lifelong bonds that would remain close to her heart.
Genesis was highly regarded in her career at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where her compassion, dedication, and warmth left a lasting impact. Kindhearted and selfless, Genesis had an infectious sense of humor. Known for her independence and sometimes brutal honesty, she was the glue that held her family together and the protector of her people. Those she loved knew they were loved deeply and defended fiercely.
Above all else, Genesis was a loving and devoted wife and the ultimate mom who embraced motherhood with her whole heart. She loved cooking, hosting, and being surrounded by family and friends—her happiest moments were spent gathered around a table, sharing food, stories, laughter and love. Even through illness, she fought hard, displaying a strength like none other and inspiring all who witnessed her journey. A steady presence and a source of laughter and love, she will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.
In addition to her parents, she leaves her husband, best friend and soul mate, Jesus and their children Joel and Zulai, all of Bristol; her brothers, Alberto Mejia and Jean Carlo Hernandez; her mother and father-in-law Saturnino and Zoila Rosario; her brother-in-law Eric Rosario; sisters-in-law Nataliz Rosario and Candace Rodriguez; her grandmother Esperanza Lopez; her best friends Nohemi Torres and Jasmin Sosa; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m., meeting directly at St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen St, Bristol. Committal will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
