Fritz E. Wanner, 81 of Southington, was reunited with the love of his life, Theresa on November 13, 2023, after five short months apart. Fritz was a beloved husband, devoted father, and skilled tradesman.
Born on November 19, 1941 in Munich, Germany, Fritz's early years were filled with lessons in hard work and dedication. He honed his skills in the masonry trade, developing a sharp engineering mind that would serve him well throughout his career. Upon immigrating to the United States in 1960, he worked as a union mason. He then joined Blakeslee Construction, and played a vital role in major construction projects , showcasing his craftsmanship and attention to detail. In the early 1980s, Fritz took a leap of faith and started his own Construction company, E & W Construction, with the unwavering support of his beloved wife, Theresa and business partner. Together, they built a successful business that stood as a testament to their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality. Fritz took immense pride in his heritage, never forgetting his roots in Bavaria, and was a proud member of the HSV Bavaria dance troop, where he celebrated his German heritage through captivating performances.
Outside of work, Fritz was a man of diverse passions and interests. Fritz and Theresa shared a love for gardening and were inseparable travel companions, embarking on spur-of-the-moment excursions that took them around the world. His passion for skiing saw him carving through slopes in breathtaking locales. Additionally, Fritz was a devoted supporter of the FC Bayern Munich soccer team. He leaves a legacy of hard work, dedication and an infectious love for life that will forever be cherished.
He is survived by his four children, Linda Wanner-Guodace, Jeffrey Wanner and his wife Jessica, Christine Wanner and Richard Wanner; seven grandchildren Maximillian, Jillian, Carly, Blayne, Gabriella, Adeline and Olivia, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
