Frederick W. Sidoti, Sr., 84 of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Born on August 11, 1941, in Hartford, he was the son of the late Frank and Milner (Silliman) Sidoti.
Fred was raised and educated in New Britain and was a 1959 graduate of New Britain High School and the University of Connecticut where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He went on to enjoy a long and successful career as a Mechanical Engineer at Marlin Rockwell/TRW, where he worked for more than 40 years. A member of the Elks Lodge #1010 in Bristol, Fred lived a simple life and found joy in quiet times at home, working around the house or spending time in the yard. A devoted sports fan, he especially loved cheering for the New York Giants. He is now at peace and will be remembered for his steady presence and quiet nature.
He is survived by his beloved companion of 55 years, E. Carol Vojtila; his sons, Frederick W. Sidoti, Jr. and Michael Sidoti and his wife Roberta; 7 grandchildren; his sisters, Dorrie Greenbaum and her husband Bruce and Patricia Evans; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, Fred may be remembered with contributions to the Bristol Elks Lodge #1010, 126 South St, Bristol, CT 06010.
