Florence Ann (Shilosky) Pyzynski, 88, of Plainville passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Edward Pyzynski.
Florence was born on October 12, 1932 in New Britain, daughter to the late John and Cathryn (Steinoth) Shilosky. She grew up in New Britain and attended New Britain schools. Florence met the love of her life, Edward, and together they settled in Plainville where they raised their family. Florence was an avid crafter and a talented seamstress, having made clothing for her daughter over the years. She had a niche for being in the kitchen as she enjoyed cooking and baking, sharing her creations with her loved ones. In her spare time, she liked to watch Cowboy movies or learn about world history by watching the History Channel. For every season, holiday, and even just for fun, Florence took pleasure in decorating her home, perfectly matching and tying things together spanning across the walls of her home. In addition, Florence appreciated the many shopping trips that she took with her sister to enjoy one another’s company and indulge in retail therapy. A hot ticket, Florence will be missed dearly by her family as they forever cherish the love Florence provided to them.
In addition to her husband, Florence is survived by her daughter, Kim Romano and her husband, Ronald, of Plainville; her daughter-in-law, Susan Pyzynski, of Bristol; her grandchildren, Sarah Mangiafico and her husband, Emanuele, of Farmington, Kristine Dennis and her husband, Jesse Colin Dennis, of Coventry, Taylor and Ashley Romano, of Plainville; her great-grandchildren, Roland and Lyra Dennis, of Coventry; her sister, Patricia Algiere and her husband, Fred, of Farmington; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffry Pyzynski; her sisters, Katherine Barry and Shirley Landau; and her brother, John “Jackie” Shilosky, Jr.
Services in celebration of Florence’s life will be held privately. The staff at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St., Plainville extends their gratitude to the Pyzynski family for their trust.
