Evelyn Louise (Maitz) Demonstranti

Evelyn Louise Demonstranti was born in 1937 in New Britain, Connecticut and died July 20, 2023 in West Palm Beach Florida. She was the ultimate caretaker, mother, cook and lover of animals. Her kindness and caring touched everyone who met her.

Evelyn worked various jobs in Palm Beach County but her favorite was working in the high school cafeteria and visiting with all the students there. However, no job in the world could match her love for making food for her family, friends and neighbors. She was a phenomenal cook, with her specialties being Italian food and stuffed artichokes as well as desserts. In addition, she loved feeding her cats and caring for them as well as spoiling her grand dogs and grand cats. Taking care of others was her greatest joy in life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Demonstranti, brothers Joseph and Karl Maitz and his wife Barbara and sister Winifred Maitz.

Evelyn is survived by her son Benjamin Demonstranti and wife Marianne, son David Demonstranti and wife Nancy, brother William Maitz and wife Elaine, sister -in-law Lois Maitz, numerous nieces and nephews as well as her 2 cats Kiki and Pumpkin, two grand dogs and numerous grand cats. She will truly be missed.

A graveside service in celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11 AM at Saint Mary Cemetery, 1309 Stanley St., New Britain, CT 06051. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked everyone to please donate to your local animal shelter on her behalf. Her love for animals was beyond measure.
