Eva Mae (Eaton) Budris, 76, of Plainville, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020. She was the wife of the late Bernard Budris, who predeceased her in 2005.
Born in Saco, Maine on February 22, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Eaton and Anna (Shepard) Belisle. A longtime resident, she attended Plainville High School and was a member of the class of 1962. A proud and beloved mother of four children, Eva loved her family dearly and was happiest when entertaining her family and friends. She loved to share a cup of her favorite freshly percolated coffee, offer one of her home cooked specialties, and chat about the latest current events. She was proud of her Southern Maine roots. Eva always looked forward to frequent trips to her seaside childhood home, in any season, and visits with her large extended family.
A woman of beauty inside and out, she was a former model for local women’s boutiques, and never left the house without immaculately manicured nails, donning her rings that sparkled almost as much as her beautiful blue eyes. She was an avid and talented gardener and enjoyed reading. Remembered for her resilience, grace, elegance, quick wit and piquant ways, she will be missed beyond words, leaving a legacy of love, laughter and many cherished memories.
She leaves her three daughters, Lauri (Segal) Collins, Harlie Segal and Malina (Segal) Raucci and her husband, Anthony; her son, Jonathan Budris; and her grandchildren, Bethany Collins, and James and Leah Raucci. She also leaves her brothers, Melvin Eaton, Roger Small and Donald Eaton; her sisters, Linda Dougeneck, Sandra Alvarez and her husband, David and Brenda Bahrakis and husband, Jim; her cousin, Jean Barden, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Eva may be remembered with contributions to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, 8815 Conroy Windermere Rd, Suite 309, Orlando, FL 32835 or at www.helpfightra.org
Eva was laid to rest at the Congregation Ados Israel Cemetery in Hartford, surrounded by her immediate family. The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their appreciation to Eva’s family for their trust.
