Emily Brassard Labrecque, aged 80, of Plainville, bid farewell to this world after a valiant battle with cancer on June 17, 2024. Born Nee Emilie Marie Brassard on December 9, 1943, in Berlin, New Hampshire, she was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.
A proud alumna of Presentation of Mary Academy Hudson, Class of 1961, Emily then went on to marry Leo Labrecque on May 30, 1963, and they built their life together in Connecticut. Emily's pursuit of knowledge saw her attending Tunxis College, and her professional life flourished in banking and real estate, where she was a respected figure, especially known by the D’Amico Family: Marissa, Billy & Liz.
Emily's essence was that of a dedicated wife, a nurturing mother, and a cherished friend. She is survived by her husband, Leo Labrecque; her son, William Labrecque; her daughter-in-law, Bethany Labrecque; and her granddaughters, Chloe Labrecque & Audra Pearson. Her legacy continues through her sister, Annette Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She joins in peace her parents, Philip & Germaine Brassard, and her brothers: Maurice, Leo & Armand Brassard.
Emily's life was a testament to her caring spirit, often found baking treats for loved ones or sharing laughter over lunch with friends. Her generosity and kindness left an indelible mark on the community.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to American Cancer Society https://www.donate.cancer.org/ a cause close to Emily's heart, continuing her legacy of giving and compassion.
