Edna Irving, 95, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025 at Complete Care at Kimberly Hall North in Windsor following a brief illness.
Edna was born on February 8, 1930 in Epsom, New Hampshire daughter to the late Norman Scott and Mary (Brown) Munroe. She was a beacon of light and love for her family and friends, embodying the spirit of her proud Scottish heritage.
For 63 years, Edna made her home at 24 Canal Street in Plainville, welcoming friends and family with open arms and a warm smile. She was a devoted member of the Plainville United Methodist Church.
Edna dedicated many years to her work as a Raw Materials Inspector at Critikon, a Johnson & Johnson Company, where she was respected for her attention to detail and strong work ethic. Her contributions to the company reflect her commitment to quality and excellence, traits she carried into every aspect of her life.
Edna is survived by her son, Thomas Irving; her granddaughter, Heather Lanza (Tim); her grandson, Nicholas Irving; her great-granddaughters, Ayla Lanza and Whitley Lanza; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Edna was predeceased by her former husband, Charles Irving, and all of her siblings, Evelyn Richardson (Perry), Velma Hanson (Olaf), Donald Munroe (Patricia), Lois Pilsbury (Sherman), and Mary Pilsbury (John).
